HOW TO RESERVE A HOME FOR THE START OF THE 2023 SCHOOL YEAR?

ATTENTION: Depending on the course of study you will be enrolling in at the start of the 2023 academic year, the procedure for reserving accommodation will differ. Follow the instructions below to reserve accommodation and start your studies with peace of mind.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

A reservation is only finalized once all the following documents have been signed: rental contract, house rules, and, if applicable, a joint and several guarantee and direct debit mandate. These signatures will be available once the first rent and security deposit have been paid. However, the documents remain available for previewing at any time during the process. Please note that we will not admit residents who have not followed all these steps.

If you are a minor when you sign the lease, please ask your legal guardian to sign it for you. The house rules can be signed by you.

For all reservations, whatever the residence, you must have a guarantor (physical or moral).

With regard to shared flats:

  • Only the contact person creates the reservation. Roommates must accept the reservation via their resident area, and within the allotted time, otherwise the reservation will be cancelled.
  • The insurance certificate can be unique and in the names of all co-tenants, or individual for each co-tenant.
  • To facilitate accounting (and future reimbursement of the security deposit), it is advisable to make a single payment for the1st rent, and a single payment for the security deposit. It's up to the tenants to make their own arrangements beforehand.

The Visale moral guarantee only applies if your contract lasts more than 8 months, and your monthly rent (including all charges) does not exceed 800€. Please note that Visale does not accept shared accommodation.

Housing subsidies can only be received if the rented property becomes your principal residence (= contract of 8 months or more). Please take this into account when creating your reservation. Please note that you can give one month's notice at any time during your stay.

  1. Am I guaranteed a home?

Please note that the stock of housing available to priority buyers remains limited. It is therefore essential that you follow the steps below to finalize the reservation of your future home, as quickly as possible once reservations are open.

          2. When can I book?

Bookings will be opened once we have received the admission lists for each course. The list of students entering the first year is generally sent out in the first week of August, while the lists for the other courses mentioned above are sent out between mid-June and mid-July. The exact opening date for reservations will be announced on this page at a later date.

Please note that scholarship holders will be able to book a few days before the other priority students, which will enable them to book easily among our social housing. These students will be flagged by CentraleSupélec, which will forward the list to Césal before reservations open.

All priority buyers will have until 15/08/2023 to finalize their reservations. Homes not filled after this date will be open to other groups, and the priority principle will no longer apply.

Priority customers are kindly requested not to make any bookings until it says "[bookings open]" next to the course they are taking.

          3. How do I complete my booking?

First of all, go to the reservation website: logement.cesal.fr.

Then follow the steps below:

  1. Create your resident space by entering the same e-mail address as the one given to CentraleSupélec (this is how the reservation system will recognize you as a priority - an e-mail from Césal will also be sent shortly before the opening of reservations to confirm the address you must use).
  2. Select your date and time of arrival [this year, leases will commence between August 19 and 20, 2023. Future residents are invited to collect their keys on the date and time chosen at this stage. If this is not possible, a power of attorney can be given to a third party. This person must provide it to us when picking up your keys].
    • This is when your lease will start
    • To ensure optimum arrival for all our future residents, you'll need to choose from a number of predefined dates and slots. The selected time slot implies that you must collect your keys within the hour (e.g.: selected time slot 2pm - you can collect your keys between 2pm and 3pm).
  3. Enter your end of lease date
    • No later than 11 months and 0 days after the date of arrival
    • Depending on the accommodation, a maximum end of lease date may be imposed. In this case, a message will inform you. In order to see as much availability as possible, we invite you to enter an end of lease date in June.
  4. Choose your accommodation among those proposed (building, floor, PRM, balcony...).
  5. Add the requested supporting documents within 48 hours :
    • Identity document
    • Proof of 2023-2024 schooling / Letter of acceptance / Certificate of internship, etc.
    • Proof of address
    • Certificate of home insurance starting from the date of arrival in your home. Studcorp makes it easy for you to obtain home insurance in just a few clicks: STUDCORP.
    • If you are calling on the services of a physical guarantor: proof of identity, most recent tax assessment or notice of tax status, or guarantor's last 3 pay slips (your guarantor must earn at least 4 times the monthly rent per person, and be taxable in France).
    • If you use a moral guarantor: rental guarantee certificate (our partner Garantme offers you the possibility of obtaining a moral guarantor at a preferential rate by entering the code " CESAL " at the time of payment!)
  6. Once your supporting documents have been validated by our teams, pay your security deposit and your first rent online. For Césal Résidentiel residents, payment of the application fee is also made at this stage.
  7. The last step is to electronically sign your rental contract, the internal regulations and, if applicable, the joint and several guarantee and the direct debit mandate.

           2. When can I book?

Reservations are already open for all non-priority audiences.

If you are already living on Campus and would like to stay, but your current accommodation is not eligible for renewal (see current renewal campaign), we invite you to reserve a new accommodation from among those available now. Please note that reserving a new home will automatically give notice for your current home. Please note that if you do not finalize your new reservation, it will be cancelled, but the notice for your current home will not.

Our availabilities are updated on a daily basis according to vacancies throughout the year. If no accommodation is available at a given moment, we invite you to return regularly to your resident area to check for updates. However, we advise you not to wait too long before making a reservation, as you may miss out on all our availability.
